Terms & Conditions for open-course bookings
The Terms and Conditions set out below constitute the legal agreement between you and J&Em Training Limited relating to the provision of training courses. When you make a booking for a public course with J&Em Training Limited, you agree to our payment terms below - we do not accept any other payment terms.
Within these terms:
- We refer to J&Em Training Limited as We, Us, Our etc
- We refer to the person placing the booking as the nominator
- We refer to the person attending/accessing the training as the delegate
- Acceptance of bookings
- Our website guides you through the booking process. All details can be reviewed before completing the booking, so please take the time to read and check the details at each stage.
- Once a booking has been made for a public course via our website you will receive an automatic receipt confirming that we have received the booking and payment.
- A further email will be sent to confirm your booking. If you have not received a booking confirmation within 48 hours (weekdays) of your booking, please email hello@jandemtraining.co.uk
- Please note that we do not add entries to delegate's diaries and calendars - it is the nominator's responsibility to inform delegates of the training they have been booked on.
- We have the right to reject a booking. If we do not accept your booking, we will inform you by email as soon as possible and provide you with a 100% refund.
- Payment & invoices
- Payment for public courses (in-person and online) is required before the course date. It is the nominator's responsibility to ensure all necessary communication is shared with the relevant people and that payment terms are met.
- Payments are taken directly on the website at the time of booking.
- If you require a VAT invoice please email accounts@jandemtraining.co.uk
- Cancellations & transfers
- If a delegate can no longer attend a course date, they can freely nominate another person to attend the same course date in their place. This must be confirmed in email to hello@jandemtraining.co.uk prior to the course and preferably 24 hours in advance.
- All cancellation requests must be made in writing by email to hello@jandemtraining.co.uk prior to the course date.
- Cancellation requests made within 14 days of a course date will be charged a 100% cancellation fee.
- Cancellation requests made more than 14 days before the course date are subject to a 50% cancellation fee. We will refund you the remaining balance within 28 days of cancellation.
- We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a course after acceptance of a booking. Any such changes will be notified to the nominator as soon as possible and alternative options will be offered. Where a suitable alternative is not offered, we will reimburse any course fees paid in full. Our liability will be limited to the value of the course fees paid.
- In-person course terms
- Joining instructions are generally provided at the time of booking along with the invoice. If they are not, they will be provided at least 2 weeks before the course date. If you have not received them at this point, please email hello@jandemtraining.co.uk. The joining instructions are sent to the nominator, who should then distribute them to delegates.
- We are not responsible for any non-attendance as a result of not receiving joining instructions and course details – it is the nominator and delegate’s responsibility to ensure they have received all communications and instructions.
- Venues for in-person courses will generally be confirmed at the time of booking, but on a rare occasion the venue may change. Nominators will always be informed as soon as possible and updated joining instructions sent to distribute to delegates.
- Online course terms
- Our online courses use Microsoft Teams. Delegates and nominators are sent login details approximately 14 days before the course date. This includes full joining instructions – how to access the training, a link to the training room and access to course documentation. It is the nominator's responsibility to inform delegates about the course at the time of booking.
- We are not responsible for any non-attendance as a result of not receiving login details – it is the nominator and delegate’s responsibility to ensure they have received all communications as outlined above.
- We are not responsible for any hardware or software issues which result in a delegate not being able to access the training room e.g. firewalls or IT security policies.
- The price featured for online courses is the fee per person. Nominators and delegates are not permitted to share room links and if a delegate logs in without a booking, they will be removed from the room or invoiced for the place.
- Course materials and information
- Our course materials are all © Copyright J&Em Training Ltd. Any course materials provided to delegates must not be copied or distributed to any other party without prior written permission.
- We make every effort to ensure accuracy within our courses and printed materials. We cannot accept any responsibility for errors contained within these materials - this includes course documentation, slides and brochures.
- Information and guidance provided both during and after a course is based on best available information at the time of communication and does not constitute professional advice. J&Em Training Ltd do not take responsibility should you or your organisation act, or refrain to act, on any information provided during or after our courses. We always recommend taking professional advice if you are uncertain.
- Personal data
- J&Em Training Ltd monitors all website traffic but only to enable us to provide a functional website for our customers. We do not collect user details unless this is submitted by the user. We do not share that information with outside sources and we ensure this is kept confidential.
- Any personal data supplied by the customer can be processed by J&Em Training Ltd on the legal bases and for the purposes set out in our Privacy Policy.
